OT first of the year
Mad March Hare that is! I was putting out some food for the birds this morning
and there it was, in the field only a couple of hundred yards away, running around quite happily - a hare. It's my first Mad March Hare of 2004 :-) The pheasant seems to have taken residence under a large bush in the garden. I've told him that's not a good place to try to raise a family, but I don't think he's listening. Or a *different* kind of rabbit, like we have cottontails or jack rabbits? I was just wondering, because I drove up at night the other day and there were rabbits *everywhere*. Bunnies under the car. Bunnies on the porch. Bunnies running around in the yard and in the field. We shined a flashlight out in the field and there were bunny eyeball-reflections bouncing everywhere. It was the weirdest thing. BTW, the dachshund was lying up against the front door on his back, sleeping. Sherry |

I was thrilled to bits, and watched it running around for about an hour. |
