Default Catnipped suffers major setback

As everyone is probably aware Lori went in to have her ostomy reversed
and stomach hernia repaired. Everything went well right up to the day
she was scheduled to go home. She developed a bad cough and was running
a fever, she also had a lump in the lower left of her abdomen. Xrays
showed the beginning of pneumonia in her lungs. Puzzled by the lump they
did a CAT scan of her abdomen and discovered her surgery had completely
failed due to a blockage in her colon. The link where her small
intestine connected to her colon had ripped apart and was dumping into
her abdomen. They did emergency surgery to clean her out and had to give
her a colostomy on the other side of her belly from where it was before.
Her incisions from this surgery are MUCH bigger than the original
surgery back in Feb and the doc says it will be a year to a year and a
half before they will even talk about any reversal if it is at all
possible.

I guess the only good thing about it was they discovered it before I
took her home.

Ben

Thank you Ben for the update. Is Lori still in hospital?

Blessed be,
Elizabeth

Thank you for posting Ben, we've been dreadfully worried about her...
keeping you both in prayer.

She must be devastated, as well as in pain! Purrs and prayers for both of

Thats just not fair! I'm glad they caught it before she went home but
sheesh, which Djinn did she annoy to suffer all of these complications???

Many purrs for Lori, and of course for her worried husband.
