Sapphire seemed to be doing well her first day in ICU with the oncologist
but he called this afternoon to say she was having many problems. I

rushed
over to spend time with her before we had to release her from her little
body that was failing her.

Life can be very sad sometimes. I've looked through the photo albums

where
her pictures are found through-out as part of a family from the day I

found
her in 1990, a declawed, not full grown yet, stray. A week after I found
her my husband told me that she was declawed which I thought was so awful
that I went to the clubhouse where my son had hung her picture with our
phone number and I took the picture down. That was how she became mine.

Now the world seems to have lost some of its sparkle...

I did it right the first time.

I'm sorry that this happened, esp. after getting somewhat hopeful for a
bit...

You certainly enriched her life and it sounds like she
reciprocated.....you are better off having known her.....

LIFE'S JOURNEY IS NOT TO ARRIVE AT THE GRAVE SAFELY IN A
WELL-PRESERVED BODY, BUT RATHER TO SKID IN SIDEWAYS, TOTALLY WORN OUT,
SHOUTING... " HOLY @#$%... WHAT A RIDE!"
