have your friends make sure they have everything they will need for a day or
two out of the room you will be staying in, take yourself, his cat stuff, box toys and so on, and a change of clothes, preferably sweats that are soft, spend the night there with imp and keep him in the room, when you return to finish your packing leave the sweats spread on the bed, then your friends can wait a day and feed him, Soft Fred Williams wrote in message news:H8Cdndh3DOH7b5zVnZ2dnUVZ_uGknZ2d@vianet... That's more or less the plan, yes. Cinnamon always spend most of the
night on my bed and I'll be spending the night before the move in the new place with him. Come moving day, I'll leave the bed clothes there with his and my scent on them and some of the other stuff, although he may have the run of the house. He should know that I'll be coming back. First things first. I've been having trouble today getting on my news
server. They suddenly don't like my password, although nothing has changed. If you don't see me for a little while, that may be the problem. For Cinnamon, who is very scared most of the time, that may be a good idea. I don't know about "a few days" because he may get bored and feel safer by exploring, but if he's going to find a safe hiding place, it's be better if it were in my room, then I could find him faster I don't know how he's going to react in the long term to the new place or the new people. They have had cats before and love cats, but perhaps they are not devoted to them the way we are. They allowed one cat to come with me and not three I expect because they didn't want cats taking over their house. They are very nice people however. I expect Cinnamon will find hiding places there just as he does here. He is hiding now and has been for several hours. He'll come out about 6:00 pm when it's getting close to supper time. I feed him at seven, and he'll sniff the food, take a couple of nibbles and walk away from it. He'll want to be scritched and given attention and then he'll go back to being aloof, but hang around till bedtime. I've got to run. I've got a lot to do. Boy my computer just got really slow. I can type ahead of it. make sure to take all of his toys and any cat furniture you have so it has
familar things and that will also keep him from being bored, he shouldn't start getting bored until he is secure, and as you have said he is easily scared so even if he gets a bit bored, in the long run he shouldn't be out for a few days to start with, and secondly not until you are permanently there to supervise, and while i am on the bossy giving advice jag, even when you do get there and open the door to let him come out on his own, you should return him to your room and shut the door, for at least a month, Soft Fred Williams wrote in message news:IPSdnSGDNPN80Z_VnZ2dnUVZ_jidnZ2d@vianet... First things first. I've been having trouble today getting on my news server.
