And Frank was.

Do you have this feeling inside of you? A feeling of something
burning inside of you every moment of every day?

Never knew there was a name for it but it's a perfect one. My
beautiful, sweet Calvin was my heart cat out of all the kitties who
have crossed my path. It's been 3 yrs now (RB) and I haven't stopped
loving him or missing him. But.......Annie said it better than I:

..".....will come to realize that [you do] not have to be frugal with
love. Loving one heart cat (or even two at once) does not mean that
you
love the first one any less. It only makes your life that much
richer."

There IS one out there with your name on the little fur ball. Give
yourself time........just please don't close that option off entirly.

Warm Hugs,

PatM

I felt like this for months after my beloved *heart-cat* Polly died in
1993. I was absolutely devestated. Eventually events conspired that I
was sent a tiny, bald, runt of a kitten with one good eye and the
attitude of an enormous siberian Tiger. I love HRFL so much that
sometimes it actually hurts. He's not Polly, he is his own special
self and he's enriched my life so much I can't even begin to describe
it. I really believe he was picked by Polly to move into my life as
my next *heart-cat*. One day Betty will send you your next *heart
cat*. Don't get me wrong, I love all my cats dearly, and they have
all got a special place in my heart, but occasionally there is one
who doesn't just touch your heart with their soft paw, but stamps on
your heart so damn hard you are left with an indelible deep paw
print. That's a *heart cat*. And your next one *will* come, and it
will be sent by Betty when you are ready.

Snoopy is my *heart cat*, she'll be 17 in a couple of weeks, I can't bear
the thought of losing her but I know no-one can live forever.

It moves me, it paralyzes me, and it consumes me. And when I can't
hold it in any longer, I want to climb the summit of the highest
mountain and shout it out:

I LOVE MY KITTY!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Is this what it means to be in love?

Tak??

I don't think Betty was one, because she's the type that would touch a
heart with a soft paw.

1. I need a kitty who loves me.

2. What sort of kitty? I want my Rosie.

3. Rosie is gone. And no two cats are alike.

4. OK I want a little Siamese girl kitten with big ears and a long tail
that loves me to distraction

5. Sadly realize that is Rosie, and Rosie is gone.

6. So lets put it in order what I need. a little girl cat with big ears
and a long tail.
They still have cats like that right?

7. And so we drove many miles to many places, returning late in the day to
a Petsmart far from home where rescue cats were just arriving from even
farther away. One of the first cats into a cage was a small adult calico
girl with very big ears with little tufts on the ends of them. and a very
long tail.

So on the evening before Haloween two years ago we brought Molly home. She
isn't Rosie. But she has her own very special place in our hearts.

This is very cute. She's a little character. I don't think I've
ever seen a cat with lynx-like tufted ear tips.

Yes. I felt like this about my beloved Pollyanna. I didn't think I would
ever feel like it again, but one day, I did. You will too. I takes a while
to open up your heart again for another.
If you feel you are nearly ready, go to shelters and look regularly. The
right one will call out to your heart. Betty will send it to you and there
will be no resisting. Just look for that one. You will know it when you
see it.

There's no harm in looking. Maybe someday soon.

All heart-cats touch your heart with a soft paw, but sometimes even the
softest touch can leave an indelible and very deep print. The way you
describe Betty, you may not know it but she *was* and *is* your first
heart-cat. Welcome to the club! It's also a given that the cat who
goes to RB always picks the next one to take their space in the corpreal
world with their beloved human...
