About 2:00 this afternoon Amber started twitching her legs. I made a
vet appointment for 3:45. When I put her in the carrier she had stopped breathing. The vet tech confirmed that she was gone. I left her to be cremated. I'm glad that she died peacefully. She left a big hole in my heart. We had lived together for over 18 years. ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N - Elevation 1580') |

He might not like some young whipper-snapper invading his (sadly no more their) territory. I also agree (if/when you deem it is time) about adopting a middle aged cat. They need homes as much as kittens do, perhaps moreso. Jill |

Something similar happened to my sister. I drove her to the vet while she held Peaches, but she said "I think she's gone" as we drove into the parking lot. The vet confirmed it, and we left her there for cremation. It was a peaceful death, and I'm glad you were with Amber at the end to see that she also had an easy passing. MaryL |

I have never found this to be the case, the longer I have them the more I love them. Tweed |
