I've heard of people doing this, but everything I read required you to be
around the cat every time it needed to do its business, which isnt feasible
for so many of us. This would be so awesome if it worked, no more
scooping!!!!!!

A friend of mine in Nastyville, trained his cat to use the toilet. The
cat went on the toilet for about a year, then stopped.

My guess was his teenage son, messed it up, like wetting the lid, or
leaving the lid up...something...
