Default Feeding Strays

Does anyone know if there is a law against feeding strays in the NY metro
area?A friend of ours has been caring for three adult strays, she trapped them
had them neutered and released them near her home and has been feeding them.A
neighbor is theatening legal action because they sleep on his lawn furniture
and mess in his garden.

Call your local humane society or SPCA. They should be able to tell you if
your area has any nuisance laws (generally meaning that cats and dogs are
not allowed to roam at will).
