Spicey's back home
"Takayuki" wrote in message ... Spicey has come home from the vet, and her legs seem a bit stiff, probably from being constrained to a cage for the better part of a week. Even with Dot and Buster here, the place seemed so empty without her! She's currently going all around the house, sniffing everything, and alternately following and watching, me, Buster, and Dot, like she can't believe that everyone is back in her life. Dot and Buster, on the other hand, don't seem to find it odd at all that Spicey had disappeared and reappeared. Spicey gave me a "mrrow" and purr to let me know that she wanted the food dishes topped off. Just as TED reported, her appetite is back! I'm so relieved that things are back to normal for now. I know that I have a couple of increasingly senior cats, but I can't bear to think of parting with any of them, so every year and every day they're with me is one of life's joys. When Boyfie was in hospital, he would not eat. so they told me to visit him. He was curled up and refusing food right in front of him. Miserable. anyway he ate his food when I persuaded him. I think he thought he'd never see me again and he also thought it was the end of his life in a cage at the vet. Luckily it wasn't. |

I had to put food into his mouth. He perked up when he saw it was me, beside his bedside, so to speak. He ate for me (except when the nurses came in) He would not use his litterbox until they put earth in it, and then only to wee in. He pooed in his bed which is a continual problem. He doesn't poo in his bed here but he absolutely refuses to use a litter box for that. I've given up trying. If he is desperate, he uses the bath. Walks past an earthfilled litter box a yard away. It's never used. I never say a word about it. I'm not best thrilled but I never knew where he came from and perhaps he never knew what litterboxes were for. |
