Default Spicey's role reversal

This morning, like most mornings, there was a three cat wake-up committee
in bed. Buster was had been walking and jumping on me for a while with
pointy paws, but it wasn't having as much effect as he liked. Dot cuddled
and occasionally licked my wrist with a raspy tongue.

Then, Spicey decided that it was her turn to try something. She scooted and
sidled up a bit closer, then cocked her head and seemed to carefully check
her distance. She reached out with a little mitten, but, very oddly,
holding it upside-down.

With her paw, she gently scritched me under the chin. Then, sat back to see
if she'd gotten any reaction. I just dug the back of my head further into
the pillow.

Spicey re-adjusted herself, then reached out and scritched me again under
the chin.

By then, my mind was too blown to stay asleep, so I got up to give everyone
breakfast.

How cute!

She really has come a long way. I'm thrilled to know she's feeling much
better, too.

Gosh... how different she is from when she first came to live with you.
What a lovely and thoughtful way to wake you. I bet you couldn't help but
smile.

Every kitty I've had has astonished me at one time or another with their
cute inventiveness.

Well, I gave the vet a sick kitty, and they seem to have given me back a
monster. I suspect she may have been sick at a low level before she
crashed, but I didn't notice because it was subtle.

Now that she's recovered, she seems to have a fluffier coat and more of a
bounce to her step than I've associated with her before. Plus, I haven't
been attacked since she's come back, although she's growled at me when I
dared to pick her up and give her a kiss.

Yes, and it's great!
