She's right at home on *her* bed, with *her* person.

I love her orange rings and stripes.

I do too! She's got that dark M on her forehead. And dramatic
sweeps of red on her face like eyeliner. Rings around her neck like
necklaces. She's my pretty stripey orange cat. Mostly orange.

Pretty pic. My Samson (Orange male) has black spots on his nose and
lips. TED said it is an "orange" thing.


Could be an "orange" thing. I've never had an orange cat before.
Persia (RB 2014) was a grey cat with a black nose and black lips. She
also had black paw-pads. Yet her gums were pink.

Buffy's gums are spotted. I thought when I first adopted her she might
need dental work. It turns out her teeth are fine. She just has
speckled gums. Does Samson have that trait too?

Rusty had some black patches around his lips. I was concerned at first
but was told it was an "orange" thing.
Guess it's just like humans with red hair tend to get freckles.

Samson just has them on nose and lips. More on lips then nose.

You probably don't remember me, we used to talk some on, I believe
a.b.pictures.animals, maybe 14 or 15 years ago, give or take. I used to
post under the handle Mooch'n'Smooch. Anyhow, I don’t' make a habit of
retouching other folks pics, I was just processing some of mine and saw
Buffy's pic and liked it so much, so I decided to see if some of my
routines
could add even more to her pic. :-)

I think your new saturation and contrast really add drama. Her irises are
especially pretty.

Thanks Tak, that's what I was shooting for. I have more luck with other
cats, such as my friends' cats, than my own, as he (The Big Mooch) is all
black. And black cats are hard to photograph properly, lol. When I got my
first digital camera around 2001 I had dozens of pictures of black blobs
with tails :-)

And even after all these years it's still hit or miss, lol.

If you're going to be around for a while, one of these days I may put up
a photo of Pickles to see if you can do anything with it. She's mostly
black, although part of one side is sort of brown, and has very long,
fluffy hair. I've never been able to get a decent picture of her.
