Default Buster vs. Spicey fight

I saw Buster and Spicey get into a fight today. Buster had the high ground,
sitting on a footstool, from where he rained blows down upon Spicey's head.

But little Spicey surprised Buster with a powerful lunge from below,
bodyslamming him off his pedestal. She chased him around the sofa a little
bit, and that soon devolved into slappy-paws around one of the corners.

Suddenly, it was over, and Spicey just meatloafed in place, and Buster
wandered around meowing for a few minutes. I wonder what that was all
about?

Whatever it was, they seem to have sorted it and Spicey's point rules.

They have an odd pattern of interacting. Buster will sometimes pat Spicey
on her haunches while she's walking past, and Spicey will ignore it and
continue to trot along. Spicey will sometimes try to wrestle Buster, and
he'll just shrug her off, or sit there as immobile as a boulder being
wrestled by a crab.

But, rarely, Buster feels whap-y, and Spicey feels wrestle-y
simultaneously, and it turns into a slow chase, which Spicey then gives up,
because she has no chance of catching Buster. I sometimes wonder whether I
should be concerned when they do this.

I wouldn't worry. It's best that she can't catch him ;-) Kitty Farmcat used
to bop Boyfriend around the head regularly just for looking at her. He used
to say "Huh? what did I do?" He was always very tolerant of her nasty
temper and only once in the years they lived together did he bop her back.
She was a bit shocked when one day he decided "enough is enough" and swiped
her back in retaliation.
