Default Kitty Schottland - Monday Update

Please be careful when replying to this -- it's crossposted on both
rpcc and rpca.

My sister took Kitty Schottland to see TED this morning. TED drew
some blood, which was sent off to the lab right away, and did a
urinalysis. He did NOT like the consistency of the urine (sorry about
being so graphic), and suspects that Kitty's kidneys could be starting
to fail. The results of the bloodwork should tell us for sure, and
that should be back in the next day or two. TED also gave her
fematidine (sp?) to ease her queasy stomach.

When she got home, she was still drinking excessively, but started
eating again.

I don't think Kitty is getting ready to go to the Bridge. She still
has a good quality of life, her normal routine has not varied, and she
isn't trying to hide. She also follows my father around the house
like a d*g, and pines away for him when he's not home. I know from
reading these newsgroups (rpcc and rpca) and others that CRF in a cat
can be treated, but as the name states cannot be cured. I'm hoping
that's the case with Kitty.

Thank you again for all of your purrs/prayers/good vibes.

We're going to keep them coming. My sisfur DD lasted a good while after
being diagnosed with CRF. Sub-Q fluids can help quite a lot.

Positive thoughts and purrs on-going for Kitty Schottland. If she does
indeed have CRF, there are some wonderful support groups where you can get
alot of information on how to help her have a good quality of life.

O T jumps in the porter and stops by Harri's to pick her up. They head for
Auntie Debbie hours. They go quietly in and O T motions for Dinky to come
out. They chase him around in the snow for a bit.
