I have two Drinkwell fountains and I have a couple that still jump up to the
sink whenever the water comes on. Cinderella jumps up and puts her mouth at
the faucet to tell me to turn it on (who trains who?). See them at the link
below.

Yours is a great site -- beautiful cats. Keep up the good work. MLB

I have a new cat. Actually, he's a used cat, not new, since I recently
adopted him from the animal shelter. He has been with me for a couple
weeks now, so he is pretty thoroughly familiar with his new house.

What happened to Old George?

I've been wondering this same thing ... that is, what happened to Old
George? There was some discussion of his need for veterinary care, and the
picture I saw of him looked dreadful. I do hope he has been seen by a
veterinarian, but I am concerned because this thread only mentions the new
cat and does not refer in any way to Old George (or to how the two get along
together).

Marek ... please update us.

One of my kitty guys has asked for the motion sensor faucet being advertised
on the TV. It turns itself off, maybe this would help.

Three or so years ago we bought one of those small desktop fountains
(the kind you are supposed just to look at). Very quickly we saw it
starting to become a kitty drinking bowl. So a cat-orientated
fountain would probably be better, but don't be suprised they like any
kind of fountian.

One of mine loves tap water, and I think he drinks recreationally just to

play
in it. Which is good, because he's old and needs to drink lots of water. I
think fountains likewise encourage them to drink *more* than they would

out of
a bowl.
The funny part is when he sticks his nose in the drain. He seems much more
fascinated with where the water goes than where it came from.

Sherry

Do you suppose it is "instinct" that tells them mice and other "ga,me"
live in holes?

We are very interested in
knowing what happened to Old George. You have previously posted several
times about him and even posted a link to his picture (where he appeared to
be very thin and possibly ill). What has happened to him? Was he taken to
a vet?

MaryL

I'm getting a bad feeling about this.
