Default Cats in History

Some of the speculation about the treatment of cats is a bit unpleasant,
but the general idea is that there is now proof cats have been living with
humans even before they moved in with the Egyptians.

That 'African Wild Cat' looks suspiciously like my Mandy, who claims she's
a Domestic Shorthair aka Alley Cat. Maybe it's a bit skinnier and more
leggy and athletic-looking, but the markings are very similar.

They are endangered because they so readily interbreed with domestic
cats. At a glance, it's not easy to tell the difference.

Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal
claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare it is simply disgraceful.
