Default Not sad, but this is terrible.

Do you all remember I posted two weeks ago about the cat tree DH made
for the raffle prize? (Originally we were going to use it as first
prize for the cat tree contest, then decided to raffle it and make a
different one for the photo contest).

Anyway. We took it to the shelter 2 weeks ago to start selling chances,
then was going to take it to the Bark in the Park event Oct. 14 and do
the drawing that day.

Now for the terrible part. *No one* has bought a ticket. Not even one.
I can't imagine what is wrong. I'm really disappointed and didn;t even
tell DH, he worked so hard on it. Do you think maybe it's too big? Or
maybe the rest of the cat-owner population just isn't like us on this
group? I'd really like some input. Don't be afraid of hurting my
feelings or anything. I'm just so puzzled about this.

I can't imagine anybody's cats not loving a tree like that. If there was a
way to transport it to California, I'd buy raffle tickets! I really do
believe it's the most impressive cat tree I've seen, and my cats would
love to have it.

I would buy tickets too, but I'm thinking it wouldn't fit in my mobile
home/trailer. It is the loveliest cat tree, and I KNOW my 6.5 (the
half for an inside/outside dump who's declawed - ick - and neutered).

Smokie Darling (Annie)

Who would pay to have their cat neutered and declawed, then just dump
him (he's a beautimous flame point, big mouth and all)? I wish he
wanted to stay in, but he gets right at the door, and you can't stop
him (believe me, I've tried). He is such a lovey boy too. Apparently,
he defends himself well, or he runs really fast. He isn't beat up at
all, and he's been runnin' for about 8 months.

Were talking about the cat tree not neutering and declawing.

Why can't people stick to the topic ?!?!?

Want to talk about something else start another subject !!

It DOES look pretty big - maybe folks were just worried
about how they'd get it home if they won it? It looks
terrific, otherwise - I can imagine a fair-sized family of
cats having fantastic romps on it! (It would certainly cost
a great deal of money if they were to buy one in a pet store.)

Why? We're (mostly) all friends here, and just like in real
life, conversations drift from subject to subject. (If the
"de-claw" conversation were to continue, someone probably
would move it to another title, but for one or two comments?)

I can't believe that!! No, really I can't! Maybe it is because you have pics
at the shelter. I'm thinking you need to let the population that already
*has* pets look at it and buy tickets. YOu know put up pics at grocery
stores etc. My God, people are nuts to not try for it.
