Catslaves gone?

I've always accessed the Catslaves Yahoo group by searching on "catslaves"
finding the webpage and using the link on there. I've found another way of
accessing it now, but it's a bit longwinded.

Ah, I misunderstood you before, but I think I understand now. If you
haven't already, you should bookmark
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/catslaves/ so that it's in your
"Favorites" or "Bookmarks" list.

You've probably noticed that others who have posted to this thread
have been making a strong distinction between the Yahoo group named
"Catslaves", and Karen and John's cat website, which is similarly
called "catslaves". That's because they are independent entities.

Yahoo has a "groups" feature, which Vicky used in 2001 to create a
chat and picture archive group called "Catslaves", named after the
term we commonly use in RPCA. In 2003, Karen and John registered the
"catslaves.org" domain, where they set up a website with cat related
information. As with most websites, it had links to various other
sites, one of which was the catslaves Yahoo group.

Karen and John noticed that traffic to catslaves.org had gotten very
low, so they decided not to renew the "catslaves.org" domain. Keeping
a domain name typically costs an annual fee. This had nothing to do
with the Catslaves Yahoo group, which was why we were a bit confused
about the problem you were reporting.
