Just in the last month, we've had the following events to cope with:
* My wife's contract job ends
* My mom went for surgery for breast cancer (lumpectomy)
* She went in for a second breast cancer surgery (lymphectomy)
* "Old" fire prompts evacuation of mom's neighborhood
* "Old" fire destroys ex-MIL's house

Now,to top it all off, on the next-to-last day of the month, mom gets
attacked by a neighbor's dog and is carted off to the emergency room to
get put back together again. Which will require another surgery.

I don't mean to whine - well, yes, I do! - but I am *so* very ready for
the universe to start dealing some good hands....

My furkids are sending extra special purrs and head butts your way,
and litterbox offerings to the neighbor for letting a vicious dog run
loose. I hope your mom wasn't hurt seriously in the dog attack.

Oh, golly, Dan. I'm so sorry and truly hope things start looking up for you and
yours. Sending *positive* thoughts.
I hope your mom wasn't injured too badly in the dog attack. Why, oh, why do
people who own those dogs let things like that happen. I handle alot of dogs at
the shelter, and there sure are some I am afraid of myself.

Kinda makes you think you have already died and gone to hell --
doesn't it. TuTu and I will give hourly purrs for things to get
better for you and your family. Keep the chin up! MLB

It does sound like an awful bad streak.

Continued purrs for the earlier stuff, and will add some purrs for Mom
to get over the dog attack without too much additional trauma.

We're thinking and purring for you. I know how it is to start thinking
you're being hexed!

Purrs that things will start to look up, especially for your mom. If
I have this right, her breast cancer spread more than the doctors
expected, she needed to evacuate her home, AND she was mauled by a
dog? That's terrible!
