Four-eared cat
A friend sent me this link to a Yahoo/Reuters story about a four-eared
kitten turned in to a German shelter. There are several pictures - follow the link on the thumbnail in the main page, then the link to the two-pictuer slide show. The second of those is a side view that really shows the configuration. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=1&u=/nm/20040325/od_nm/kitten_dc The link is long and may get wrapped in transmission, so you may have to paste it back together. And yes, I know about URL shortening web sites. T.E.D. - e-mail must contain "T.E.D." or my .sig in the body) |

BTW, you don't need to worry about shortening URL's, because you're posting with Agent. The only newsreader I know of that chops URL's is Outlook Express. |

Still, the standard line length for usenet messages is 76 characters, and that is 98 before quoting in replies. When it came to me, it was wrapped in the e-mail, and wrapped again when I passed it around. T.E.D. ) SPAM filter: Messages to this address *must* contain "T.E.D." somewhere in the body or they will be automatically rejected. |

But it makes it much easier for those of us with text-only newsreaders. I use tin, which doesn't allow me to click on a link in a post. I have to cut and paste it into my browser. A "tinyurl" is so much easier to deal with! Joyce |

I wonder if her second set of ears will grow at all, and if she'll have muscle control over their movements. The article did say they weren't functional in terms of hearing, but perhaps she can use them to express feelings. She could really give someone a super turbo "airplane ears" expression if she wanted! Joyce |
