Default sigh

After reading the posts on the off topic thread about the Beheading Video,
I've decided this is a group I no longer wish to have a part of.

First, that thread should have never been posted here, nor should it have
been responded to (because it doesn't belong here). Second, some of the
responses are absolutely appalling.

Time to drop this group.

Well that's an intelligent response. You are clearly too
delicate for Usenet, so I imagine your decision is for the best. Try a Yahoo
group or a moderated group.

Well it probably got cross-posted. You are correct that it had nothing to do
with cats and does not belong in this group.

Before you go, could you let me know which responses you find
appalling?

I am not trying to start a flame war here but some in this group seem to be
turning quite a few topics into their own forum to pick on other people. I
know I have had a few from this group even attack me in email. Of course, I
stick with this group because with as many bad people that might be here,
there are still some good ones. I have visited some more friendly forums
though. The Cat Fancy Forum is one such place which doesn't seem to have any
flame wars and a lot of people over there love cats so they keep it about
cats. You can find it at www.catfancy.com. Even though the new Cat Galaxy
Forum is just getting started, it will be moderated so hopefully the flame
wars won't happen. Of course you can find that one at
www.catgalaxymedia.com.

I think when it comes to some of the wars it seems to be the norm on usenet.
There are so many varying opinions and everyone has their own point of view.
I try to weather the storm because despite how I may feel about some of
those who attack me, it is ultimately about the cats and that is whom I side
with. It would be nice if usenet would be moderated but I am not sure if
that is possible but then again who knows.

Aw, you must be really sensitive. How can you drop this whole group just
because you don't like one post and the rest of that thread?

Barb
Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.
