Default Purrs and encourgement needed

Hi All,
Phoebe's ten fur babies are now three weeks old, she is getting very tired,
I am helping out by supplementary feeding, even the bigger ones in the hope
that they will have full tummies and let the little ones have a go, but I am
also getting weary, it is almost a full time job in itself, they wont take
the bottle so I feed them with an eye dropper (I am going into my vet clinic
to see if I can get a large syringe, in the hope that it might speed things
up a bit) I am also hoping that this weekend they may start to nosy around
the food bowl, that would take some of the pressure off both me and Phoebe.

Freya's seven babies are doing well, she is a very laidback Mum, they are
two weeks old tomorrow, all have their eyes open and are moving around their
sleeping box.

Freya's sister Gigi had five fur babies on Sunday night (a more sensible
size litter) she has a very interesting mix of colours, one seal (brown),
one blue, one either chocolate or lilac (too early to tell) one cream and
one red, they should look lovely when they are up and running about.

Cheers
Lois

That would be most appreciated by Phoebe I'm sure... Can you buy something
called KMR 2nd step? It's a kitten weaning food that we used for Fez and
Rufous when we first got them, we think they were 4 weeks old at the time.
They loved that stuff! And judging by their development, it is a good product.

Awwww.... I'm looking forward to some pictures!

I do not think that I will be the only person from this NG who is now wishing that they could come
in every day for the next few weeks and help you.

I will hope and I'll get the gang to purr for you all to keep well and for the babies to very
quickly take to feeding from bowls.

Sheenah.

Lois, I would be very happy to give you hand to feed the kitties. I
am an excellent eye dropper feeder, I'll give you a call

Purrs,

Bev

My first thought upon reading about the poor tired mothers: Is there
a junior high or high school near you? Perhaps you could find someone
of that age to come in and help feed to babies. I remember how I
adored kittens when I was that age. Good luck. MLB

That DOES sound like work, and just think pretty soon you'll be
listening to a thundering herd as they start to get big enough to get
and and play. Do you already know where they're all going? I get
serious KF every time I look at pix, but guess SW Oklhoma is a little
far - not to mention I'm already over the limit on animals here.

Sounds like when you visit the vet you might want to see if one of the techs could
use a little extra work. 22 kits under 4 weeks old? Wow!

Purrs and encouragement all around for the mamas, the babies and you
especially. Can you get someone else to come in and help once in a while
during feeding time? Some kids around the neighborhood who like animals?
Hope everything works out fine for everybody.

We are sending purrs that your strength, patience, and sanity holds
out until those kitties are feeding themselves. Please scritch poor
tired Phoebe for us - I am sure she could use a scritch or two! :-)
