yodeled: My son's little kitten (the one I'd posting pictures of using his litter box when I kitten-sat) was found dead next to his food bowl - they don't know what killed him. Their 5-year-old, Taffy, is fine so they don't think it was poison, and there were no marks on the kitten. They couldn't afford a necropsy (and, to spare my feelings, they didn't tell me until a few days after it happened when I specifically asked about him, so I couldn't help out), so they'll never know what happened for sure. Hugs, CatNipped Oh no! What a sad shock. I remember that litter-box piccie-- so cute. Purrs for his family. That is so very sad. Our purrs go out to all of the humans, and for the little one to have a safe, peaceful journey to the Bridge. It is so sad. I was thinking....was the food hard kibble? Can a kitten choke to death? Grant got a piece of kibble stuck somewhere in the back of his mouth a couple of weeks ago from hoovering it down too fast. I was panicked he was choking, but I think it was just caught like at the back of the tongue and cheek. |

... Oh, that's terrible. So sad. Our condolences to your son's family and deep rumbling purrs. -- Marina, Frank and Nikki marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/frankiennikki/ and http://community.webshots.com/user/frankiennikki Thank you Marina, I'll pass along your condolences. My granddaughter, who belonged to the kitten, is really devastated by this - it will her help to know that people all over the world are grieving with her. Hugs, CatNipped |
