Default Yes! Da Boyz are safe!

Boxing Day the shooting started. Quite near the village the traditional
shooting parties were out. Unusual that they were so close to the village as
usually they are much further out. Da Boyz, the three male pheasants that
had been visiting the garden, strutting their stuff and feasting on the bird
food I put out *disappeared*. Oh drat. Well, I actually thought a much worse
phrase. Someone was in for a tasty meal of nut-infused pheasant. The
shooting went on for days, and Da Boyz were not seen. I was convinced they'd
met their end.

But no! Da Boyz are back!

Obviously they kept well hidden. All three are back in the garden this
morning, strutting and feasting. So I've put out extra nuts and seeds to
welcome them back :-D

As I put the extra bird food out, Da Boyz ran off and hid in the bushes &
hedge (sensible birds). Within a minute or so of me closing the door they
were back out in the garden enjoying the extra food. Then I noticed that Da
Boyz have increased in number. Da Boyz are now a gang of four. Word is
obviously out in the pheasant world that there's a good restaurant in the
village :-)

I'm so glad they didn't end up on someone's plate.

YAY! I have a couple of Da Boyz myself which have survived the Boxing Day
shoot.

Aaaaaah, gourmet dining for pheasants, at it's best. You know the open sign
is on your back gate now. Those smart birdies are going to think they'd
died and went to birdie heaven
