The cat in the Americquest ad was FAKE!!!
There's no way in hell any cat that size allows itself to be held by the
scruff of the neck THAT long without inflicting enough damage on that guy to more than match all that Ragu on the floor in volume. PLUS, those bites and scratches are instantly infected. Laughed like hell, but we gotta admit something: the cat was faked! A kitten can be held by the scruff for a few seconds, but an adult cat would take umbrage and retaliate very quickly. |

On 2005-02-09, Hodge penned:
Personally, I think that commercial is bad because it was "creative" people trying to be too cutesy. Has nothing to do with the product. (What is Ameriquest and why should I deal with them?) The ad was aimed at people who feel they've gotten a bum deal on their credit reports. Just off the top of my head, maybe someone who ended up in trouble because their spouse ran off and left them with lots of debt. The idea is, we'll listen to your side of the story rather than just assuming you're a bad risk. -- monique, roommate of Oscar the (female) grouch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eros was adopted!
