Default Princess and the hummingbird

Hi guys,

My mom has a major amount of hummingbirds, and I don't think I have told you
about her cat princess trying to get one for lunch...

my mom has so many humming birds she starts the year making a gallon of food
a day, they are so plentiful that at the height of bird feeding season she
makes over 2 gallons a day... highest count by a human who didn't pass out
from disszzynes counting 79...

so one day princess is staring at these little snacks... she is a totally
out kitty with a regular circuit at her highnesses leisure... my mom's, then
to the barn, then to the granary then to my sister's then back to my mom's,
mom and sister keep food out for her, she supplements as she chooses, and
supplement by conning my dad *the reason she is an out kitty, very allergic*
out of milk when my mom isn't looking...

so anyway, she is eying these little snacks and decides its time for lunch
so she stares, washes a paw, stares, rolls into crouching position,
crouches, wiggles her butt, jumps, there is a horrid noise of bird wings,
then the cat falls to the ground... yelping like a kicked puppy... and to
her and my mom's utter amazement, the hummingbird had stabbed her right in
the paw nailing her to the ground... bird leaves, mom grabs/inspects cat...
treats paw... cat now sees one of these guys... turns her back and very
carefully washes the paw... my mom says it is always the offended paw...

That's a lot of hummingbirds! I'm sorry to hear that Princess can't
come inside of the house. Can dad take allergy pills?

no cat allergies are life threatening for my dad, she is now 15 and was
brought to my mom on her last day before she was to get the needle at the
pound. that when she was around 6 weeks old, she is quite happy , Lee
