That keeping with the Pirate Day thing, I posted a picture of my
Pirate cat, Ricochet in the alt.binaries.pictures animals group titled
International Talk Like a Pirate Day...My Cat Ricochet.

Go check her out. She's a totally cool lookin' chick, and really has
the pirate thing goin' on.

Oh yeah. Where's Pam? She shines on Talk like a Pirate Day.
Unfortunately, I don't. I wish it were cold weather. Then I could say,
"It's cold enough ta freeze the barnacles off a frigate."
I have no clue what barnacles are, but it sounds very pirate-ish.

is today? I remember last year she posted saying, "OMG, *DON'T LET

They're some form of sea life. They cling to the sides of boats and

It's also my brother's birthday. A few years ago, when I first heard of
TLAPD, I called him up, and got my SIL instead. I told her it was
International Talk Like A Pirate Day, and she said "PLEASE, PLEASE don't
tell your brother that."

Exactly right!-- actually, I posted the story above. It was my brother's
wife who didn't want him to know.

Hehe last night at fire practice, I was talking to my friend and he
said, "oh yeah it's Talk like a Pirate day."

And I said, "Uh, no my voice sounds like this cause my throat hasn't
recovered from Burning Man."

Barnacles are little devils that fasten onto the keel of a boat and
won't let go, whatever you do to them. They're the reason that boat
owners paint the bottom of their boats with pisonous paint, that then
leaches into the sea, causing much more damage than the barnacles would.
It's a wicked circle.
