Default Could you turn off the purring motor please?

Mischief purring is really sweet and cuddly. It tells me that she's
very happy. It also makes me roll my eyes when she's on top of my
computer and is purring away.

Of course it tends to go for really loooooong periods of time.

I know she's really happy and all.....

But i'm sad to say when I'm trying to sleep, her purring keeps me
awake. It's like having a noisy fan going on and on all night. It
keeps me AWAKE!!!

Even when she's curled up on at the foot of the bed, she still will be
purring and purring for HOURS on end. I just want her to turn off the
MOTOR already!! Of course I know I shouldn't disturb the queen's
beauty sleep.

Any suggestions?

Kristi

Well I lost my hearing and can take my hearing aid out at night, but I'm
guessing you would like an easier solution?

LOL - really.

I love to hear TuTu purr and she does to purr me to sleep. It might help
if you think of the purring as the cat singing you a lullabye. Purrs tat
you will learn to love it. MLB

Earplugs?

And a waterbed so you can enjoy the massaging effects of the amplified
vibrations of the purrs

no, i can't wear earplugs or else I won't hear my alarm in the morning.

Course, techinically that wouldn't matter since I have two furry alarm
clocks too.

I know what you mean... Scout has the loudest most rumbly purr I've
ever heard, and she likes to come and cuddle at three o'clock in the
morning... she lies next to me, which is okay, but then she starts the
purr motor and wakes me up to pet her - then if I stop she walks up
and down beside me tickling me with her whiskers and her tail!
