Default kilikini's Checkup at Mayo Clinic

Sorry if you see this twice, my first post under a different subject hasn't
appeared but may be somewhere waaaay down the list attached to an older
thread Got an email from her this morning which she said I could share
with you. RPCA is so prolific she can't keep up! Her news is this:

"It was a rough trip to the Mayo Clinic yesterday, but all the tests showed
that the tumor hasn't returned yet. Thank goodness! Dr. TerKonda said that
all the pain and numbness I'm experiencing is NORMAL - it will take years,
if ever, for it to go away. It's just scar tissue and nerve damage. They
still want to monitor me every 3 months to be sure I'm tumor-free, but so
far so good. It was a really long couple of days trip, but I'm happy!"

YAY!

This is very good news. We are continuing to purr
and pray for Kili.

Thank you! She's very happy. She was so nervous, anxious, convinced the
tumor had returned. That's understandable, of course. But I told her I had
a very good feeling about things (especially considering all the purrs) and
it turned out to be just fine.

A friend (I guess from another ng) put them up in a $1000 a night hotel
room! And they had dinner in a swanky restaurant Sunday night, also gratis
from this friend. Very nice of him! So really, the ordeal was lessened a
bit by having free fancy accomodations (the entire bathroom was marble!) and
a nice meal. She did admit she only picked at her food

Oh, I am so happy to hear this. Tell Kili to post when she feels like
it, I miss hearing
from her. Sometimes life hands you a "bonus round" and I am so, so
grateful that Kili
got one. She is such a sweet girl.

Excellent news! Even a dire prognosis can turn out for the best. I
hope the worst of Kilikini's health woes are now behind her!

I'm so glad she is doing so well so far. Purrs that it continue and that
the pain subsides.

There is just something so life affirming about who she is and the things
she does. She should continue for a long long time.
