Hi, Marina

I read in another thread that you are thinking of stopping Nikki's
prednisolone.
I understand why you would want to do this, but please check with your vet
first. I had a dog on long term pred once and I seem to remember they have
to be weaned off it gradually over about a month.
I'd feel happier if you gave her her tablet today, since she missed
yesterday's, and see what the vet says tomorrow about how to get her off it
safely.

HAve to second that. I know that in a human, stopping prednisone after long
term use has to be done very slowly. Stopping suddenly can be fatal.

Thank you, Tweed and Jo. I'll taper it off slowly, unless she starts
wheezing again.
