Default Kitties are such cute little snookims

Our block has 4 "cat houses". 3 are 40ish spinsters and one is a
recently unattached Lesbian. Today, once again, there is a black cat
under our bird feeder, a big yellowish (tabby?) hiding in the boxwood
and spraying almost every day, and a 3-legged black cat snoozing under
my car, also watching our bird feeder occasionally.
We get at least one dead bird a month, left behind by a cat who
doesn't know what to do with its kill and
whose owner won't give it a damn tinklebell collar.
There are 6 "dog houses" on our block and except for occasional early
morning barking, they are barely noticable, and certainly no problem.
**** cats and their keepers, at least in this town.

Darn, I don't have my recipes on this PC! I baked a couple of potatoes last
night and made baked pork chops. I did sort of a homemade "Shake N Bake"
coating; no measuring, just eyeballed things.

Combine plain dry breadcrumbs with a little flour in a large zip-lock bag.
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and some dried
parsley. Mix it all up. Rinse the pork chops under cool water, then place
in the bag of coating (one at a time, I had 4 center cut chops about 1/2
inch thick). Shake it up until coated. Place the chops on an ungrease
baking sheet. Bake at 425F about 15 minutes. When they're ready you'll be
able to easily poke a fork in the meaty part.

These turned out so well Mom actually ate TWO! She's skinny as a rail,
literally, so it't gratifying to see her eat But so much for my plan to
have 2 leftover chops to heat up with something else for later in the week
LOL

Thank you for sharing this extremely important information related to
the killing of birds by domestic cats. If the cats were owned by men
or by normal nuclear families or by long-legged, big-titted blonde
20-somethings, I'm sure the birds would be much safer. Let's get the
cats out of the hands of middle-aged spinsters and lesbians, where
they are clearly being trained to kill off the neighborhood's birds,
and probably will go after the human males next.

You obviously attach too much faith to "belling the cat"! I
gave up on bells after watching too many cats move up on
unsuspecting birds so smoothly that the bell made no sound
until the cat pounced.

Hmm. I didn't realize that. However. such an animal is therefore
"feral" and not a proper pet. Back to the "keep your cat at home"
argument.
