New cat web comic: Kittiez!
I found this one last night and have gone through all 14 pages (so far).
It's about a young kitten that climbed out of a "free kitten" box and now has to make his own way in the city. The Button (the principal kitty) and Sasha (the first other cat he meets) are the cutest kittens I have ever seen in a web comic. The link is to the first page: www.breakcomic.com/kittiez/kittiez1.html I'll add it to my list as soon as I figure out how to link to the latest page. -- T.E.D. ) MST (Missouri University of Science and Technology) used to be UMR (University of Missouri - Rolla). |

As of tonight there were 17 pages. The Button (the principal kitty) and Sasha (the first other cat he meets) are the cutest kittens I have ever seen in a web comic. The link is to the first page: www.breakcomic.com/kittiez/kittiez1.html They're adorable! The artist seems to be an anime fan. Question: Why does the archive list 37 pages, of which only 17 are actual links? I guess pages 18-37 are TBD, but it's odd to put them on the page that way. I'm talking about this page: http://www.breakcomic.com/kittiez/archive.html It also says "Chapter 1" at the top of the page. I guess this means we have many more comics to look forward to. -- Joyce ^..^ (To email me, remove the X's from my user name.) |

@mst.edu: I'll add it to my list as soon as I figure out how to link to the latest page. I don't see a latest page, but this looks like the entry portal: http://www.breakcomic.com/kittiez/ |

Question: Why does the archive list 37 pages, of which only 17 are actual links? I guess pages 18-37 are TBD, but it's odd to put them on the page that way. I'm talking about this page: For several years I have been developing a program that checks web comics for updates every morning and generates a new page with the updates marked. Some, like this one, can't just have a mark - the program has to generate a new link to the new page and add it to the output page. This type isn't really all that difficult (some are so hard that the only way is to download the comic and do a binary comparison with the previous one) - some links are active and some aren't. Most that use this archive approach at least make a clear distinction in color between the active and inactive links, but this one isn't all that clear. Other things wrong with the site is the total lack of any contact link, at least none that are easily found, no latest comic page, incomplete navigation, 'Next' link on the last page that points to a nonexistent page, and multiple pages posted at the same time (that wreaks havoc with my update program since it generates the link to the last page - maybe I need to devise a scheme for dealing with that problem). None the less, it looks like a keeper. http://www.breakcomic.com/kittiez/archive.html It also says "Chapter 1" at the top of the page. I guess this means we have many more comics to look forward to. Sometimes. All too many web comics peter out after the first burst of pages - most are actually worthless and should never have been started (it appears that many of those are from middle school girls - I supect the comic goes away when they discover boys for real), but some are quite promising, then just go away without a word. -- T.E.D. ) |
