It was scary

You know you sort of take cats for granted. Most of the time they are
cute little animals who purr and fuss or cuddle or are aloof. But we
forget what an amazingly athletic animal cats can be. Maya really put on
an amazing show of her physical prowess. She flat out ran and out
maneuvered a dog 7 or 8 times her size. When she missed the top of the
wall it was purely because she was moving so fast parallel to the wall
that her claws could not hold against her speed and force preventing her
from changing her axis of motion and scrambling up the last foot to the
top. But she went an amazing distance essentially running on the side of
the wall. When she hit the ground she landed on her feet and was
instantly in the air and up the 5 foot cement brick wall.
