Fun is a ...Matress truck?
My upstairs neighbors had some new matresses delivered this morning.
They came in a monstrously large and heavy duty truck. Now any time a delivery truck is parked right outside I keep an eye on it. Don't want the kids going for a ride and Maya is unable to resist a matress leaning on its side as a scratching post. This truck was way too heavy duty for matresses. The bed must have been a good 4 feet off the ground and had I-beams that were massive. The cats were in heaven. Their body language and movements just screamed joy and delight. Bruiser discovered the tires were large enough to climb the tread and go down the other side. There was enough clearance above the drive shaft that adventurous cats could and would walk along the drive shaft from the rear axle to the transmission. The large I-beams meant there were all kinds of places for a cat to jump up into underneath. It was obvious I better get out there. Maya complained bitterly to me when I picked her up from the cargo area. I am sure she was telling me about all the good scratching posts that were going to waste back. Bruiser crawled up inside my neighbor's old replaced matress that was leaning against the truck. Finally, I decided too much fun was being had and had to cart Bruiser away and inside. When I went for Maya she ran off a distance which was just as good for me. |
