Default Fosterers: Stand and Be Recognized!

Some unknown folks emailed Sherry, thinking she was taking Angel to the
shelter because of her "antics". Angel was a fostered kitten, ready for a
forever-home.

If you foster cats, please stand and be recognized!

I fostered for Cats Protection for 7 years up until 2 years ago when my
husband-to-be moved in. Hope to resume fostering as soon we get more
space here!

John was a fosterer before we got married... and since I'd love to
have another kitten or two but we can't afford it, we're thinking of
going back to it - that way I could have a continual stream of
fubabies to love, and I'd be helping to keep them out of the shelters
till they got a forever home!

I foster the more "difficult" cats on and off for my local cats
protection. Last count, I had fostered 33, of which 5 became
permanent....

I just had a vision of your husband to be being put into a cat run. ;-)

Yes, had to use the biggest sized Croft pen for him!

I've fostered kittens for Cats Protection, and once fostered a nursing
mother with two kittens. It's very fulfilling, and it's lovely to see them
go to permanent homes.

We've fostered 5 kittens, of which we kept 2. Thus we stopped
fostering, otherwise we'd be up to the ears in cats!

I'm currently fostering an adult cat named Olga, and two kittens
named Lily and Lucy. I've been fostering for about 4 years now
with the SPCA of Northern Virginia. Mostly kittens, but an adult
now and then too. Only kept 2 out of the 50 or so that have
passed through my home.

Thanks to those of this newsgroup who have purred, prayed, and
send out good thoughts for some of my foster babies during
times of crisis. I'm much more of a lurker than a poster, but
I try to keep up with what is going on with everyone.

I've fostered 300+ cats/kittens for a small rescue group in my home
town. The most cats/kittens I have fostered at the same time is 37,
now I only foster orphan kittens or those who need hand rearing. I
have 5 permanent foster cats and so far this year I've fostered 5
kittens.
