Allegra, didn't you get some of the flying fish that the fat wench
cooked tonight? We're starting to get a lot of them, you'll notice.
Also expect to get some more marlin, groopers, sharks, and tuna. Don't
tell the hoomins, but the wale meeting is on for tomorrow night. If you
don't want to be part of the meeting, you can distract the hoomins by
playing music and singing.

Adam, our first mate, says that we're halfway down the Afrikan coste.
We should be going around the bottom of the country next week. This
weekend they want to put into shore and do some site seeing. I told
them they had to bring back a bull or wildebeast or sumtin. We'll see
what happens. No matter what, you won't have to worry about your
ballastness.

Good, I like fish! I like all food, but I like fish bestest. What is the
wale meeting about?

I want to go siteseein too! Especially for felines with tufted ears, like
me! And a few years ago I sent a Sekrit Santa package to some kitties in
South Africa, maybe I can visit them.

We're all going ashore in South Afrika to sitesee. We had to invoke the
rain claws yesterday, but the weather should be decent in a few days.
We should reach South Afrika this weekend. The fat wench is still not
being good about my new website or my voyage updates, but I'm working on
her. Several of the cats on this cruise have tufted ears, including my
house mates QC and PFC Huey. They think they're special, but then we
all do.

What do we hope to see in South Afrika? My housemate Louise went on a
virtual safari at the Shamwari Game Preserve a few years ago. She wanted to
see a Tasmanian tiger.

Where kin I find the updates on the website or the voyage?

Over in rec.pets.cats.community, we are planning a meeting of the Tufted
Ears Club, of which I am vice-purresident. We have had several club
activities so far, including a Sonny Tufts film festival and a visit to
Tufts University. Any eligible cats are welcome to join the discussion,
over in that newsgroup.

What is a PFC doing on a ship?

I thought Tazmanian tigers were extinct? In any event it would be in
Tazmania. While I don't know exactly where that is, its somewhere around
New Zealand/Australia part of the world. So its not only the wrong
continent but the wrong hemispere

You're absolutely correct, the last known Tasmanian tiger died in the 1930s
in captivity in Tasmania, which is the southernmost state in Australia.
Fortunately the virtual safari took place entirely within
rec.pets.cats.community, and so Louise never actually had to leave her home
at all. There's a photo of Louise at
http://www.fortunecity.com/millenium...t/4/Louise.jpg .

I don't have tufted ears, but QC and PFC Huey do. PFC Huey is going to
be promoted to Specialist Huey on September 1st. That is our adoption
day celebration.

If either wants to join the Tufted Ears Club, there is a meeting in progress
right now in rec.pets.cats.community. And congratulations to Specialist
Huey!

Thanks. I'll let them know. Neither of them gets on the 'puter that
often, but this might just be special enough to make the two of them
shove me off of my perch:-(
