Default Nightmare

I don't let my cats out - ever - so I don't know where this came from.
In my dream I was walking at the end of my street when I saw a small
gray cat and she was crying. Next to her was a small gray kitten - flat
as a pancake - obviously run over (no blood or anything gross). There
was also another small gray kitten that was OK. The pitiful crying of
the mother really disturbed me - and it still does today when I think of
it. I'm glad that it was only a dream but unfortunately this does
happen all too often when cats are allowed to roam freely.

This must have wrenched your heart. I have recurring
nightmares that I am in situations where I cannot contain
Cheeky--like I'm moving into a new house, etc. I keep calling
her with this fearful feeling and she always shows up. The
weird thing is, she is always a kitten in the dreams, but I
have only known her since she was an adult.
