What is Cosequin?

Cosequin is actually called "Cosequin for cats". It is glucosimine and
Chondroiton and it comes in capsules. I open the capsules and mix the
powder into the wet food (Wellness). You can order it from Amazon. It
helps ease lameness from arthritis and also promotes urinary health. It
is also in the Drs Foster and Smith catalog.

I hope it works better for cats than it worked for me.

It did work for DH, but the results are kind of subtle. Like you don't
realize it was
doing you any good until you stop taking it, and notice that the pain/
stiffness seems
worse.

I'm glad it helps some people. I took it for about six months and didn't
see any difference. I stopped taking it and still didn't see a difference.
Eventually the pain went away on its own, except for an occasional twinge.

One problem with the human version is it is usually in caplets that are
too big (for me) to swallow. Also, men with prostate cancer should not
take chondroitin because it can cause the cancer to grow. I use plain
glucosomine sulfate which I get at Walmart in capsules which I can
swallow. I noticed a marked improvement in Amber after a few months of
the Cosequin.
