Default Wellness cat food - petition

I figure there might be a few others feeding Wellness canned cat food here,
so this petition might be of interest. Wellness canned has long been a
grainless cat food, which is why many have chosen to feed it. There has been
a debacle recently where the company allowed (or "mistakenly allowed") a
"test" batch containing grains shopped to stores, claiming it was a mistake
but many feel otherwise. This might seem like nothing, but the canned cat
food has been fed by many because it doesn't contain grains. Some cats with
illnesses or intolerances cannot eat grains, and others feed a grainless
diet because we know cats don't need them, so for a healthy choice. So the
news is rather distressing, additionally becasue this info was not on the
label and discovered when cats started getting sick.

Anyway, a petition to the company with a well worded explaination can be
found here. If any of you are concerned or interested in the problem, the
link below explains it much better than I do.

That's terrible. I believe grains are the foremost allergen to cats, causing
the most problems. I don't think we have that brand here, at least I don't
remember seeing it in the stores.
