Given that my powers are those of the Night and Darkness, I would think they would be rather limited here in the Underworld, still I got pulled here for a reason. Misty the Black Panther Greetings, Misty! I have heard of you. And yes, I have heard of Bonnie the Black Panther. We have been isolated down here for a very long time, but we have been able to send scouts to your world and we keep in communion with the spirit of Bast. Your world is indeed in turmoil, but it seems that it is always so. Humans tend to gravitate toward such things. That's one of the reasons they need us so much - to help keep them grounded and calm. Our world here isn't really under attack - if anything, the sciences of the world above are teaching the humans that the worlds that their science can't measure aren't real. That makes them believe in this world less and less. And that is fine with us! As long as the kitties know that we are here, then we are serving our purpose. I suspect that the reason you were drawn to us is that you are needed to locate the kitties who are isolated from the feline community and tell them of the worldwide community, of the love and power of Bast, and perhaps even teach them the use of teleporters and how to use teleporters to come here. Most of all, I think you are to teach these isolated kitties how to use the power of the purr to connect with the Bast- consciousness. All of us here know of the power of the purr, but many in the surface world don't. I recall a story from a few years ago when the Community kitties were taking a train ride. They found a family of underprivileged cats living in a train station in Furrance. The cats of this family probably need to be introduced to the Power of the Purr, and using purr to commune with Bast. These isolated kitties are indeed being threatened by the outer world. Human development continues, and wild lands are converted to human uses. This means less hunting ground for those kitties who depend on it. So does this sound like a reasonable understanding of why you might have been summoned here, and what your skills might be needed for? I am fairly certain that it will take a kitty with substantial skills to locate many of these distressed kitties, many of whom have spent a lot of time making themselves hard to find. Anuit |

Those are wise thoughts, OEJ. I understand Misty's concern - she was certainly brought here for a reason. It would be easy to think that this world was in danger, if one had been relaxing comfortably at home then been spontaneously teleported here, but I am pretty certain that Misty's mission is serve as an ambassador from Bast to the kitties in the world who need her. I don't think that any of us have anything to be afraid of, but there are certainly isolated, underprivileged kitties in the world who need to be reminded of the power of the Purr, and of the existence of this Community of loving, caring cats.
