Sibling rivalry
When I'm on the computer, everyone wants a piece of me. This evening,
Licky got here first, and was ultra cuddly. He curled up with his front paws resting against my chest, purring intensely, and occasionally giving me little licks on my chin or cheek. Awww! Smudge was perched on the edge of the desk, glaring at both of us - clearly jealous! She wanted the cuddle position! A couple of times she even crept toward us, maybe hoping that Licky would get upset and run off. I didn't let her get away with that, though - I really wanted that special time with Licky. Smudge just had to wait her turn. So she returned to the edge to glare resentfully. Suddenly, Licky got an urgent notice from the Mothership and had to depart immediately and with extreme haste. Smudge moved into the vacancy with almost equal haste, and is cuddled in my arms now as I type. Roxy spent the entire time utterly oblivious to the great cuddle wars, sleeping on my monitor and happily ruining it. Joyce |

Neither of my cats show any interest in me while I am on the computer, nor do they try and get up on the monitor. I sit on a hard tall stool and when the keyboard is pulled out there is no lap at all to be taken advantage of! Tweed |

But when I was on my part-time job I had to lock them out because you had to have total quiet. Toward the end, I kind of said, 'screw it' and let them in I think they were so grateful, they just laid down on the floor quietly! Oh, one would jump up and walk to the window,.but they seemed to sense they had to be quiet! darndest thing I ever saw!! -- ShirleyB, Rexie, Loki and maMA's Mom Pictures of His Majesty, Rex: http://tinyurl.com/bvtjv Pictures of Loki: http://tinyurl.com/9exao Pictures of Mama & Kits: http://tinyurl.com/e5edz Pictures of Bruver: http://tinyurl.com/f5jrq Homepage: http://jumi-shirley-butler.com Webmaster: http://www.vinotecawinebar.com |
