Default Having a bad 24

Yesterday morning I noticed my Powerbook was not charging. Now about 10
months ago I clumsily managed to step on the end of AC adapter that plugs
into the computer. Repeated surgery with a pair of needle nosed plyers
has kept it working this long but emergency surgery failed and the
patient died yesterday. After several phone calls I found a new one
clear on the other side of Vegas so off I went. On the way an engine
warning light came on. I stopped and checked the belts and fluid levels
and didn't see anything that would cause it. Broke out the owner's
manual and it was the warning for scheduled maintaince. I just had that
done 2,000 miles ago. I'm not a superstitious person but over the years
I have come to believe that if two bad things happen then a third is sure
to follow. This morning no water. I went and walked around the building
and found the culprit, a huge puddle of water and a plumber working on
the pipes outside the building. At least the cats are having a good day,
its sunny and warm and some small birds are all over the place. The
birds like to sit in trees and Bruiser has been climbing up the trees
after them. The bird then flys to the next tree and Bruiser pursues.
Maya will go to the tree but knows climbing it is a waste of time and
effort. Bruiser's little friend showed up and is helping. Strangely
enough Maya lets him deep into her territory without even a hiss.

I'm glad the cats are having a good day, and I hope your next 24 are a
lot better.

Wow. Many purrs for new karma soon.

Hopefully, the next 24 will be better. Maybe the superstitions are
correct, because a lot of people seem to be in need of purrs lately.

I'm so sorry, John, that you had such a lousy day yesterday. I'm hoping
that today is better.
