Default Panther's Passing

I realize I let this Particular Anniversary slip past. On April 6,
2006, I sent my dear old Pan on his final journey across the Rainbow
Bridge. I have no doubts that the right time had come to release him;
he told me as clearly as any cat can that he was ready to go. Getting
ME ready for that farewell was the problem! He was very thin and frail
by the end, and he collapsed in my arms before Dr. Mell finished
giving him his injection. But I still miss the way he used to arrange
himself over my shoulders like a purring fur piece when he was chilly.
I've never had a better lap cat than him.

But thank goodness for my two girls, still allive, well and playful.

Purrs for a sad anniversary. New kitty friends can help, but they won't
erase the feeling you'll always have for Pan. I love the image of him
arranged around your shoulders. I have no problem with people wearing
fur if it's still alive. And purring, no less!

We all get busy, and these things happen. Unka Pan was a splendid cat and a
sterling companion, and a great Uncle-in-spirit and role model to all young
novice cats.

April 14th- has it really been 9 years since Fugazi was helped over
the Bridge?

April 29th- 5 years since Isis sauntered over the Bridge

April is a bum month for us cat slaves here apart from the 4th, which
is the Fabulous Furballs birthday

{{{Melisaa}}} The anniversaries are tough, I know. Remember him with
love and with smiles, and he will love on always in your heart.
