Weeble Update: 1st Officical Vet Visit

Weeble just got back from his first official vet visit, 1 day short of 4
weeks since I rescued him. He passed with flying (or should I say
purring)
colors. Everyone at the vet's was shocked at how big he is at 1 lb and
2.5
ounces. One of the vet techs said she's seen some kittens that don't even
weigh that at *8* weeks of age, let alone 4 weeks!!!! He got his first
dose
of medicine - which of course he didn't like - and we give him the 2nd
dose
in 2 weeks. In 3 weeks he goes back for his first round of shots (he will
NOT be happy about that - good thing our vet is only a 5 minute drive from
our house). They were also kind of amazed at the fact that he's also
litter
trained, but he did that on his own. He also has a new litterbox: one of
those Glad disposable/reusable 9x9 cake pans. I forgot I had some of
those
when I gave him that makeshift box last week.

On another note, I have started giving him some chicken (human) baby food,
which he loves, and mixing in with it some canned kitten food, which he's
not thrilled about, at least 2 or 3 times a day instead of the bottle,
although he still gets the bottle the rest of the time. Slowly I'm going
to
increase the amount of kitten food while decreasing the amount of baby
food
(how can he like that stuff - it reeks worse than the kitten food), and
slowly decrease the bottle feedings while increasing the other.

And he's quite the wrestling buddy. Loves to attack my hands and arms
(and
anything else he can wrap his legs and jaws around) after a good feeding
and
a quick nap. He's also attacked my ankles a couple of times when I walked
into the bedroom. God thing I was wearing socks. EEEP - I'm raising an
ankle biter

so think this was cross-posted from another NG, maybe?

Anyway, I think I'm safe in saying that here in rpca, we welcome the
