Any ideas on how to move my cat into a house with 2 dogs and a cat?
I'm hoping for some advice/best practices! I am getting married soon and moving in with my fiance. My 11 yr. old cat will, of course, be joining me. She's not an animal that gets along with other animals and becomes very stressed when in that situation. My fiance has 2 Golden Retrievers and a Tabby. Is there anyway I can ease her transition?

Keep her away from the d*gs. Let them see each other through a screen door and get used to each other before they meet in person. Introduce her to the tabby before she meets the d*gs. Take one task at a time. Consider a Feliway dispenser in the house where your cat and the tabby will be meeting. I like Feliway. Cinder http://www.catster.com/pet_page.php?j=t&i=140147 |

When I stayed with my sister after Hurricane Katrina, she introduced me
to Rescue Remedy which is made by Bach. It is a flower based liquid or spray. It can be put in everybody's drinking water (just a few drops) or sprayed on the underside of paws. It really does seem to help. I had my four cats and my sister had her four dogs and 7 cats. My cats stayed in their room for the month but I think everybody would have been ok after that. There will be some huffing and puffing, probably; just have patience. Good luck.
