Heat or not?
My kitty had a bit of a scratch/scar when she went for her 1st vet
vist at about 6mo. The vet thoguht she might had been fixed and told me to bring her back if she went into full heat. Since then she went into heat for a few hours or a day and never any more and not days or weeks like unfixed cats I've known.. She recently went into heat for a day and there has been a much larger semi-tom-cap around most of that time. He doesn't seem that interested and he acts like an old tom I used to have that was fixed... he will run off other males but only seems to want to hang around (and corrupt my girl). The old tom is far more interested in a bit of thin sliced ham than my girl. So what are the odds my girl didnn't have a peroper fixing or any fixing at all? This guy is the only male cat I've ever seen around the area. And hes only somewhat interested in the girl kitty sort of sometimes if hes not distracted by food or even just being called. When I was calling piper to come in, he seemed to take the hint and came in (she followed after much consideration) and he wondered in and found the food bowl. After she sat and looked (hoorififed) she wondered up and hissed and hit him. he couldn't care less. He stands about 1/2 s tall as my girl. but hes a frienldy bloke :-) -tim http://web.abnormal.com (free kitens in 18 weeks+?) |
