However, it might help to get the point across - for most of us,
"limited income" would fast translate to "indigent and on the streets"
if some of the politicians have their way!

I think my parents were among the last generations of "working class" to
have a secure old age. Social Security plus a pension from his union
(he had been foreman of a Montgomery Ward's service station in the
Midwest) kept them in comfort until they died. (Dad in the late 1980's,
Mom in 1996 at the age of 102.) They owned their home free and clear,
could afford more or less annual trips from Minnesota to visit their
kids in other states - even helped them out with a couple of car loans
and second mortgages, when needed.
