Ask yourself
if *anyone else* except Kyla had posted the same thing, what would the
response
have been?
shrug I don't get the bruhah.

Sherry

Exactly, Sherry, I was thinking the same thing. Several others could
have given the reminder and been thanked up and down.

Kids can be so mean.

So killfile Kyla. End of story. Do not drag your nastiness into the

Victor, that makes entirely too much sense. Personally, I have turned
this into a game. Kyla posts something and I try to guess how long it
is going to take and which of the handful of people who just can't
ignore an opportunity to slap her down will do so.

Actually, I bitched at someone totally different on a different ng for this
same thing. It's like telling me what time to go vote. I don't need a net
mommy to tell me what day it is.

As a matter of fact I did comment on it from a completely different
poster on a different ng. Kyla or not, if we aren't old enough to
change our own clocks and flip the page on the calendar then we aren't
old enough to play on Usenet. They pound the time change into your head
every day leading up to it on the television, on the radio, in the
newspapers. Don't forget! And the computer changes itself and tells you
so, too. So why must someone post reminders about something that should
be common knowledge?

Jill

Jill, the world is full of clueless idiots. Isn't it simpler (and a lot
easier on your blood pressure) to simply ignore them?

How did Arizona get to be such an oasis of reason in a world gone mad?

"Reason"???? You're kidding, right? It was only within the past few
years that Arizona finally joined the rest of the U.S. in recognizing
Martin Luther King's birthday as an event worthy of celebration. (And
I've encountered more chauvinistic anti-Hispanic prejudice here than I
ever did in California - even though the American Southwest was SETTLED
by Spaniards/Mexicans!)

We did it here last week- I completely hate the clocks being messed
with!

I have no idea why Kyla finds it necessary to remind everyone to change
their calendars or their clocks. We aren't 6 years old.

Exactly. So use your killfile. It will improve your blood pressure.

(Snort) When you do need that, you will be happy to get clock
reminders
from one of your peers, and you will be wearing the undergarments,
navigation aids, and dentures worn by them as well. I would guess this
may take a helluva long time for you to achieve, ROFMAO unlike some of
our Grateful Dead here (poke, poke - ancient rock stars, revered by
old groupies).

snort Good one, Hop!

Maybe YOU don't, but those of us who are retired sometimes have to refer
to our computer clocks to be sure which day of the week it is!
(Especially if you're not a church-goer, and don't have that or some
other weekly "marker" to rely upon, and your daily activities are pretty
much the same, it's easy to lose track.)

Thanks.
I just don't worry about them any more. Not worth the BP rising,
