She was smirking!
I got up this morning and noticed the traffic noise in the living room
seemed louder than usual so I went to the window...in the hot weather we've had all the windows open an inch or so to let air circulate but somehow the living room window had been opened further.....like there was enough space for a cat to get out. So I did the ritual of cat summoning- i.e. I opened a pouch and called out "Brekkies" but only Dunzi surfaced (Which she did in her usual nanosecond her appetite is disproportionately large in relation to her actual size). No sign of Sarsi, which is very odd as she likes her breakfast. So with sinking heart and rising blood pressure I started to look round the flat...Not a trace of her....By now I am convinced she's gone on to window sill and as she's not still on it, she's fallen off and it's a long drop.. My increasingly panicked calls of "Sarsi!" wake Dave up, I tell him the bad news.... He gives me a look that suggests he thinks I'm a few sandwiches short of a picnic and points out that Sarsi is on top of the wardrobe "just like she's been all night" I look up and there she is and I swear she wass smirking at me Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

So she opened the window enough so you'd think she got out, and then waited to see your reaction. Clever girl. |

Roxy does this to me periodically. Sometimes I just can't find her and I search all over the house, calling for her - nothing. She doesn't go outside, but there's always a first time. I start to worry. More searching and callng. And then I happen to glance up at the top of the refrigerator, and there she is, watching me impassively - although I know she's secretly chortling to herself. Clever girl.- Hide quoted text - I think it may have been Dunzi who opened the window as she usually sits on the window sill there and she's the one with the curiousity about the "out" when I closed the window she took a swipe at me for undoing all her good work at opening it! Good BCT, Sarsi, sez Boyfie. I know we don't have much hot weather here but given the height if she did fall - is it possible to get something like a fabric mesh type roller-blind to pull down when the windows are open? I've no idea if such a thing exists, it's just an idea to stop you having a heart attack ;-) Tweed |

the thing that is courios to me is that the uk doesn't seem to have window
screens to any regular degree, why is this, just a convention or do you not have the flies and mosequitos we do her in the us? Lee "Christina Websell" wrote in message ...
