Language correction by alpha cat
Last night, I had Mr. Clark, Rhonda, and Ding on the bed, socializing.
They were adopted together, and while biologically unrelated, Mr. Clark (around 5) has always acted parental to the two younger ones. Rhonda and Ding are now a little over 2, and, as far as they are concerned, litter mates, with Rhonda far more outgoing than Ding. Mr. Clark, while normally VERY relaxed, remains The Authority. Anyway, Rhonda was being emphatically vocal to me, and she clearly was coming up with some new sounds. When I repeated a couple, she seemed indignant. Now, through much of this, Mr. Clark and Rhonda had been grooming each other. Then, Rhonda said The Phrase. Mr. Clark's ears did a radar lock, he rose up, hissed (which he almost never does), and reached out and bopped Rhonda over the head, bowling her over. He then stretched back out, with a "so there!" expression on his face. WHAT, I wonder, did she say? |

(Sorry, that was Nikki's comment in the middle.) Once when Frank and Nikki were sitting on the window sill looking out, Nikki was scratching at the pane. I hate the sound of claws on glass, and I said, NIKKI! Stop that! Frank immediately turned to Nikki and bapped her head, as if to enforce my command. ;o) -- Marina, Frank and Nikki Email marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki |
