Default Cinnamon and the phone

Cinnamon has this thing about one of us being on the phone. You have to pet
and pay attention to her when you are talking on the phone. It doesn't
matter if I call someone or I get a call. You can't fool her and just pick
up the phone and talk if no one is on the line. I have a cell phone for our
business and it can be hard to take notes with her helping.

LOL, I'm sorry, but that's too funny.

Better that than what one of my crew used to do. Anytime Miu thought
I'd been on the phone long enough, he'd get up into the shelves of my
wall-unit and threaten the collection of cat figurines I kept there!

Before I got a cordless phone, I had extensions in a couple of rooms.
Sometimes when the phone rang, I'd answer it in one room and hear Roxy
in a different room taking the receiver off the hook to pick up the
extension. The caller would be going, "What's all that clicking?" Me:
"Oh, that's just my cat listening in on the extension."

Thank your lucky stars she isn't a dog. A friend has an American
Eskimo that barks non-stop whenever she is on the phone.

I guess I'm lucky Cinnamon can't get the phone off the hook.

Stink has hung up the phone when he thought I was talking long enough. He
also has started yowling so the person on the other end can hear him. :P

My cat comes trotting up, ready for attention, if she hears me talking on
the phone. She will also do this at times for talk on the radio, TV, or
computer. Apparently, she figures that any talking must be directed at
her, and she promptly starts talking back at it.
